Program Description

The Budweiser Cup Tournament Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to outstanding Latino college students in the 2011-2012 academic year.  Award amount is $2,500 for all recipients.

Eligibility Requirements 

• Be of Hispanic heritage
• Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
• Have plans to enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a two or four-year accredited U.S. institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2011-2012 academic year.
• Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
• Be pursuing first undergraduate or graduate degree
• Must have a permanent address in one of the following participating California locations:
  • Bakersfield
  • Carson
  • Fresno
  • Los Angeles
  • Norwalk
  • Oakland
  • Oxnard
  • Pomona
  • Sacramento
  • Salinas
  • San Bernardino
  • San Diego
  • Santa Ana
  • Stockton
  • Sylmar
  • Visalia/Porterville
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of application submission
• Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
