Eligibility Requirements
- Be of Hispanic heritage
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- Be a full-time Sophomore, Junior or Senior during the 2013-2014 academic year
- Must be majoring in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering
- Preference will be given to students at the following universities in the 2013-2014 year:
- Colorado School of Mines
- Lamar University
- Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College
- Stanford University
- Texas A&M, College Station
- Texas Tech University
- University of Florida
- University of Houston, Main Campus
- University of Oklahoma
- University of Texas, Austin
- University of Texas, El Paso
- University of Texas, Pan American
- Worcester Polytechnic Institute
- Must submit a resume
- Must submit a signed and completed Media Release Form
- May be interviewed for a possible summer 2014 internship
- Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
