Program Description

The HSF/ Morgan Stanley Scholarship program provides scholarships to high performing Latino freshman and sophomore students on the path to higher education.  The program will award twenty Latino Scholars with $3,200 for the 2012-2013 year.

In addition, scholars will be offered the opportunity to apply for summer internships at Morgan Stanley.  If you are interested in learning more about internships with Morgan Stanley, please click here.

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Be of Hispanic heritage.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen, legal permanent resident or eligible Non-U.S. citizen
  • Must be enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2012-2013 academic year.
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale.
  • Be a four-year college freshman or sophomore (in 2012-2013) majoring in Accounting, Cognitive Science, Economics, Finance, Information Technology (IT/MIS), Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or all other Engineering disciplines.
  • Preference given to students enrolled in the following institution:
    • Brown University
    • Carnegie Mellon University
    • Columbia University
    • Cornell University
    • Dartmouth University
    • Duke University
    • Georgetown University
    • Georgia Institute of Technology
    • Harvard University
    • Massachusetts Institute of Technology
    • New York University
    • Princeton University
    • Stanford University
    • University of California, Berkeley
    • University of California, Los Angeles
    • University of Notre Dame
    • University of Pennsylvania
    • Yale University
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
