Program Description

The Sendero al Futuro Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to community college and undergraduate students of Hispanic heritage who are children of parents currently employed by Pacific Foods, Sunshine Dairy Foods (Portland, OR), Lockmead Dairy (Eugene, OR), United Dairymen of Arizona (Tempe, AZ) or SECO/Golden 100 (Deland, FL).  Students must be enrolled full-time during the 2011-2012 academic year.  Awards are in the amount of $1,000.

A coupon code is required in order to apply to this scholarship.  Please inquire within the employer's Human Resource department.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be of Hispanic heritage
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Have plans to to enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a two-year or four-year U.S. accredited institution during the 2011-2012 academic year.
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Must be children of parents currently employed by Pacific Foods, Sunshine Dairy Foods (Portland, OR), Lockmead Dairy (Eugene, OR), United Dairymen of Arizona (Tempe, AZ), or SECO/Golden 100 (Deland, FL).
  • Required coupon code to be obtained from employer's Human Resource department.
