The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Shell have partnered to provide financial resources to outstanding Latino undergraduate students. Awards are in the amount of $2.500 and are disbursed in Fall 2013.

In addition, students must also complete an online Shell Internship Application and Assessment.

Eligibility Requirements  

• Be of Hispanic heritage 
• Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application
• Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale
• Be a full-time Sophomore, Junior or Senior at a four-year institution during the 2013-2014 academic year
• Must be majoring in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering 
• All geographic locations are eligible with preference given to applicants with a permanent address or attending an institution in Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana
• Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Must complete an online Shell Internship Application (resume required) and online Assessment to be eligible for the HSF/Shell Scholarship (confirmation of completed online Internship Assessment will be required for upload to the HSF/Shell Scholarship application)
