Program Description

The Telemundo Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to undergraduate students planning on enrolling at a two-year or four-year U.S. accredited institution in the fall 2011.  Applicants must have a permanent address in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.  Award amounts range from $1,500 to $5,000.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be of Hispanic heritage 
• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
• Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Be an undergraduate full-time student in a degree-seeking program at a four-year or two-year accredited U.S. institution during the 2011-2012 academic year.
• Must currently reside in the metropolitan area of San Francisco Bay Area.
• Must be willing to attend the Hispanic Business Salute 2011, on April 1, 2011 in San Francisco, CA.  Travel expenses will be paid for students and a guardian for those residing outside the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
