ALUMNI MENTOR PROGRAM
This program exists because at HSF we believe that
NO ONE SUCCEEDS ALONE!
WHO participates in the HSF Alumni Mentor Program?
- HSF Scholar Chapter members, undergraduate and graduate students
- HSF alumni who have received their undergraduate degrees and other Latino professionals
WHY do students and alumni participate in the program?
- Educational research supports the value of one-on-one relationships as a means of helping individuals set and achieve their goals.
Mentor Program Participants
HOW does the mentoring program work?
- Alumni identify their interest as a mentor by completing the Alumni Network form and selecting “Mentoring.”
- There are two matching cycles per year, one in September and another in February.
- Matches are made based on academic, professional and personal interests.
WHAT is expected of participants?
- Mentors and mentees are expected to communicate at least twice a month through June of that academic year.
- All participants are required to complete surveys and check in with Program Officers as requested.
