Julie Anna Alvarez (HSF ’84 -’87), recently joined the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law as Assistant Director/Alumni Outreach Coordinator. She also continues her work as founder of HappyChiSolutions.com providing Feng Shui consulting and seminar services, offering Vision Board creation workshops and publishing the Happy Chi monthly e-zine.

Dr. Joseph Castro (HSF ’89) has recently been appointed as Vice Chancellor – Student Academic Affairs at the University of California, San Francisco.  He has served as Vice Provost and as a faculty member at UCSF since 2006.

Catherine Sandoval (HSF ’89), Associate Professor of Law at Santa Clara University was recently appointed to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). This is a historic appointment as Ms. Sandoval is the first Latina to serve on this commission in its 100 year history.

Bella A. Castillo (HSF ’05), President and CEO of American Leadership Academy Inc., was recently selected by the National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI) to participate in their Executive Leadership Program. NHLI offers an award-winning program to select Latina leaders to address the lack of Latinas in top leadership roles.
