Katherine Medina is an Administrative Assistant with over 10 years of Administrative and Customer service skills. Katherine enjoys her position at HSF working with Marketing, IT, and Development. Katherine is also a soldier in the Army National Guard since her enlistment in April 2008. She is an experienced ammunition specialist and supply clerk, and is very proud to serve our country. At the age of sixteen, Katherine became a certified chef’s assistant through her high schools ROP program, where she was able to work first hand with a variety of chefs and Sous chefs in different culinary establishments.
Katherine is a current student at Long Beach City College working towards a degree in Social Services. After completion at Long Beach City College, she plans to transfer to California State University, Long Beach to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services. Katherine is passionate about helping others and this is what motivates her to work hard and give back as much as she can through community service and volunteer work. Katherine has performed many hours of volunteer work with Yellow Ribbon America during the holidays to help raise money and toy donations for military families.
Katherine is a movie fanatic, enjoys cooking and likes trying new things to stay in tune with her adventurous side. She loves spending time with her Fiancé Corey, and their two daughters Andrea and Kaylee.
