Program Description

The P&G Venus Brand Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to outstanding Hispanic female students who live in the Houston metro area.  Students must be enrolled full-time during the 2012-2013 academic year as a freshman at a four-year institution or as a first-year student at a two-year institution. Awards are in the amount of $2,500.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be of Hispanic heritage
• Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
• Must be a female Hispanic student
• Be a full-time student at an accredited U.S. institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2012-2013 academic year
• Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Must currently be a high school senior graduating in spring/summer 2012 with plans to enroll at a two-year college as a first-year student or at a four-year university as a freshman in fall 2012
• Have a permanent address in the Houston metro area (counties of Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, or Waller)
• Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
