Program Description
The Telemundo Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to high school seniors graduating in 2010 and planning on being a first year freshman enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year U.S. accredited institution in the fall of 2010. Applicants must have a permanent address in the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston or Los Angeles. Award amounts range from $1,500 to $5,000.

Eligibility Requirements
- Be of Hispanic heritage
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Be a first year full-time student in a degree-seeking program at a four-year or two-year accredited U.S. institution during the 2010-2011 academic year.
- Must currently reside in the metropolitan areas of san Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston or Los Angeles.
- Must be willing to attend the Hispanic Business Salute 2010, on March 26, 2010 in San Francisco, CA. Travel expenses will be paid for students and a guardian for those residing outside the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
