Foundation Partners
We collaborate with a number of foundations to advance our educational objectives for Latino students across the country. Our joint projects help fund outreach and scholarship programs and provide general operating support, which is vital to our continuing efforts. We are proud to name the following foundations as our partners and include a brief description of how each is working with us. These are some of the projects underway, listed by Partner Foundation.
College Access Foundation of California (CAFC)
In collaboration with the University of California, Riverside and California State University, San Bernardino, HSF provides multi-year scholarships and support services to a select group of students. Funding from CAFC supports students from the Inland Empire region of California who attend these institutions. Each selected student is eligible for up to four years of funding and access to specialized support.
Funding from the Goizueta Foundation provides scholarships and retention services to 240 students throughout the state of Georgia. There are two cohorts of students, with each student eligible for up to $10,000 in scholarships over four years. Each recipient also receives individualized coaching provided by HSF partner Beyond 12 to encourage persistence and graduation.
Peierls Foundation
The Peierls Foundation provides scholarship and retention support to students from Colorado and Texas. This program is open to students who have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. To date, four cohorts of students from these targeted areas have benefitted from access to multiple years of scholarship funding, as well as assistance from a dedicated HSF staff member.
