LOS ANGELES, CA — The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the nation’s largest nonprofit organization supporting Latino higher education, will honor UPS Foundation as its Corporate Partner of the Year, inducting the Foundation into HSF’s Alumni Hall of Fame, for its exceptional contribution to advancing higher education in the Latino community, particularly through its support of HSF, in a ceremony to take place at HSF’s Annual Alumni Hall of Fame Gala fundraiser, on Thursday, October 3, at the New York Hilton Midtown, in New York, New York.
UPS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of UPS (United Parcel Service, Inc), has partnered with HSF since 1981, making significant contributions to scholarships and support services for Latino students across the country, as well as funding HSF Scholar Support Services, which provide HSF Scholars with access to mentoring, leadership development, career services, knowledge building, and wellness resources. UPS Foundation has also sponsored HSF’s annual Leaders in Education Awards, which recognize HSF Scholars and parents, as well as community and educational partners, for their special contributions to advancing Latino higher education.
“We are exceedingly proud to have this opportunity to honor our long-time partner UPS Foundation, for its remarkable contributions to Hispanic higher education,” said Fidel A. Vargas, President & CEO of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. “UPS has been unstinting in its generosity and deep commitment to HSF’s mission, having seen our organization through 38 years of exponential growth, including our recent major expansion of Support Programs for students and families, as well as many generations of HSF Scholars. We are deeply grateful to have UPS Foundation at our side! ”

Each year, HSF’s Alumni Hall of Fame (AHOF) Gala inducts one Corporate Partner of the year that has played a prominent and steadfast role in advancing and supporting higher education for students in the Latino community, across the nation. The annual event also recognizes distinguished Latinos whose personal journeys to success exemplify the goals and values of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
Past Corporate Partners of the Year inducted into HSF’s Alumni Hall of Fame include Univision Communications Inc., Anheuser-Busch Companies, Target Corporation, and Toyota Motor Sales TMS, U.S.A., Inc.
