TIAA INSTITUTE PARTNERS WITH HSF TO INVEST IN SUPPORT SERVICES FOR STUDENTS AND SCHOLARS

Mar 20, 2019

Los Angeles, CA (March 20, 2019) - The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the nation’s largest non-profit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education, announced today that the TIAA Institute will grant $25,000 towards the organization’s support services for students, parents, and HSF Scholars.

The TIAA Institute’s contribution will be used to help fund services that include preparation and knowledge-building programs for college-bound middle and high school students and their parents, as well as an array of support services offered to HSF Scholars. Provided by trained HSF Staff and other qualified professionals, Scholar Support Services include career services, professional development, mentoring, and knowledge building, with an emphasis on physical, emotional, and financial wellness.

“An essential part of our work focuses on increasing awareness about financial wellbeing and improving the financial security of individuals across the country. Partnering with premier organizations helps TIAA Institute broaden the reach and impact of its work across diverse communities. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s mission of advancing higher education for Hispanic students is a natural partner for us,” said Stephanie Bell-Rose, Head of the TIAA Institute. “Focusing on support services ensures that students who embark on a college path via HSF will complete their degrees and go on to make this a better world with greater financial security. We are thrilled to support HSF’s important work.”

“We at HSF are pleased to have the TIAA Institute as a partner who shares our belief that support services can make the crucial difference for talented youth to complete a bachelor’s degree and ultimately launch careers in fields that matters to our society and our world,” said Fidel A. Vargas, President & CEO, Hispanic Scholarship Fund. “TIAA Institute’s contribution will help us to help them achieve their full potential!”
