The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is a global business consulting firm that advises clients in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, it has more than 80 offices in 48 countries, and has been in business for over 50 years.
The firm’s commitment to social impact goes beyond the business domain; its stated goal: “…to make the world a better place both directly through our client work and through our pro bono efforts. We seek to pursue progressive policies in every culture where we provide services. We donate a portion of our time and resources to community and global issues and institutions.”
In 2015, BCG concluded approximately 300 social impact projects, collaborating with approximately 150 top local, regional, and global organizations to increase their productivity and effectiveness—and ultimately their impact.
In its efforts to support educational excellence, BCG currently offers an MBA scholarship program that deploys BCG consultants as one-on-one mentors and confers monetary awards to top applicants.
In partnering with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the company has provided pro bono consulting services and supported a number of major events and conferences: HSF’s Leaders in Education Awards (LEA), Alumni Hall of Fame (AHOF) Gala, Career Symposium, and Finance Conference.
