Biggest hurdle you’ve overcome?

The biggest hurdle that I have overcome has been adapting to high school. While my academic success continued from middle school, my social skills and leadership qualities did not transition so easily. Coming from a middle school with only 200 students to a high school with over 2,000, my confidence faltered. However, I overcame this obstacle by joining clubs and participating in extracurricular activities, which helped me develop new social skills and leadership qualities.

What are your plans for the future?

After college I plan on finding a job to gain some experience and money so that I can later attend graduate school and obtain a master’s degree.

What HSF Events have you attended?

2020 Youth Leadership Institute – University of Southern California
