What extracurriculars are you involved in?

Part-time job at Leadership, Education and Athletics Partnership (LEAP), Varsity Soccer and soccer all year round, Math Team, Spanish Club, Mathematics Tutoring for ESL, Math Honor Society, French Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Recreational Basketball, Religious Education, Edu Inter (3 week exchange program in Quebec to learn French), University of Connecticut Pre-College Engineering Summer Program (1 week in the summer of sophomore year)

What achievements, recognition, and/or awards have you received?

RPI Medalist Award Winner, Soccer MVP, All Southern Connecticut Conference Team (Soccer), 2015 State Champion and regional Finalist (Soccer Premier Team), High Honor Roll (9, 10, 11)

Biggest hurdle you’ve overcome?

Moving from Spain to the United States at the age of 10. I had to adapt to a new country physically, mentally, and culturally. I barely had any prior knowledge of English, so the first 6 months/year were very challenging.

What are your plans for the future?

After college, I plan on working in an engineer/STEM-related position in California, or potentially in Europe.
