Associate of Arts for Transfer in Business Administration and Associate in Arts in Economics; Biliteracy Seal; Deutsches Sprachdiplom Stufe (German Language Certificate); High School Diploma; Og Mandino Leadership Course

Biggest hurdle you’ve overcome?

Through perseverance, I became a photographer/editor/audio tech for Univision 19 Sacramento KUVS at age 19 and continue with them to this date. Also, I successfully relocated, with my family, from Guatemala to the US at age 14.

What are your plans for the future?

Earn my BS in Business Administration; continue my media and entertainment journey and work in a big production; get involved in entrepreneurial efforts before and after graduation; nurture my career in the media and entertainment fields with a business-oriented perspective.

How has HSF helped you?

Through amazing communication and opportunities, HSF accepted me into the 2020 Media & Entertainment Summit and gave me the opportunity to sign up for their Scholar Program. HSF is an amazing organization with a clear vision and a burning desire to see Latinx students truly take on what the world has to offer. As a first-generation US college student, I am very honored to be an HSF Scholar.
