Biggest hurdle to pursuing a higher education/how overcome:

My two biggest hurdles were language and lacking discipline in studying, when pursuing higher education. Cornell University put me in an English as a Second Language program, which helped me polish my writing skills. In addition, being surrounded by remarkable people was the biggest asset that Cornell had for me. My colleagues at Cornell helped elevate my discipline, motivation, aspirations, and work ethic, through their example.

Advice to Students and Scholars:

Make sure to maximize your GPA by studying hard, seeking help/tutoring, and getting real-world experience through projects or internships. Build your resume by participating in extracurricular activities that you are passionate about and that give you leadership and other transferable skills.
