GOLDMAN SACHS & CO. RENEWS HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND PARTNERSHIP WITH $50,000 DONATION

Jul 29, 2019

July 29, 2019, LOS ANGELES –The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the nation’s largest nonprofit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education, announced that Goldman Sachs & Co. renewed its partnership with HSF, with a gift of $50,000 to be a Friend of HSF level sponsor, of the 2019 Finance Conference, to be held from October 3 – 6, 2019, in New York City.

HSF’s annual Finance Conference provides an inside track to academic and professional excellence, through a combination of mentoring, professional insights, and knowledge building—with an emphasis on career paths, as well as physical, emotional, and financial health—and career guidance. Among its diverse activities, this four-day event  features a Career Expo, which offers Scholars the opportunity to meet with corporate talent recruiters to interview for internships and full-time jobs with HSF Corporate Partners, and to receive one-on-one career coaching from HSF Alumni and other top professionals, on a range of topics, from career advice to resumes and interview preparation.

“We are grateful to Goldman Sachs & Co. for their generous support—they’ve been a great partner, and their renewal of our partnership is an enormous gift in itself. The impact of supporting the Finance Conference is incalculable. To have a company of Goldman’s stature participate in this way, for the second year in a row, sends a powerful message to our Scholars about their value to the financial sector,” said Fidel A. Vargas, President & CEO, Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
