HSF FUND PROGRAM TO HELP ATLANTA STUDENTS, PARENTS, PREPARE, PLAN, AND PAY FOR COLLEGE

Dec 03, 2019

LOS ANGELES, CA, December 3, 2019– The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the nation’s largest nonprofit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education, in partnership with Wells Fargo & Company (Wells Fargo) and Toyota Motor North America (Toyota), will be hosting a College 101 informational workshop, for middle and high school students and their families, at Meadowcreek High School, in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, December 5, 2019.

College 101 is a free, bilingual, two-hour program that provides valuable information to middle and high school students, and their parents, about how best to prepare, plan, and pay for college. The Atlanta program is the third of the 2019-2020 College Camp series of workshops, which will be hosted in a total of six cities, around the US. Sessions address the steps necessary to plan for a college education, apply for scholarships, and research additional financial aid opportunities.

“HSF is pleased to be able to host College 101 in Atlanta. We are grateful to have the opportunity to transform lives in the region, by sharing knowledge and resources that can be difficult to accrue quickly and independently,” said Fidel A. Vargas, President & CEO of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. “We are so grateful to our long-time partners, Wells Fargo and Toyota, for supporting our mission, providing crucial information to students and parents, on what it takes to prepare for a college track.”

Participants have the opportunity to interact with HSF Scholars, staff, Alumni, as well as other supporters, including business leaders, sponsors, and educators, from the local community.
